CHAYEI SARAH ALIYAH HEALINGS
1. THE OLDER, THE BETTER HEALING (see the
commentaries Ohr Hachayim and Kli Yakar)
Sarah's last years were characterized by less pain due
to lack of children, and greater wisdom and greater completeness due to the
wisdom and experience gained through living, and greater connection to the
eternal light due to her closeness to the time of the post life. So too by you.
See the passage of the years of your life and the older that you become not as
a negative thing like so much of the western world sees it, but rather, just as
wine gets better with age, so do you. You achieve more wisdom, more
liberation from the things that used to bother you in your earlier years, more
connection to what's truly important.
Q: IS THERE A
UNIVERSAL RECIPE FOR ANYONE ACHIEVING THIS SOMEHOW
A: PERHAPS IF, LIKE
SARAH, A PERSON WOULD FOCUS ON THE GIFT AND BLESSINGS OF OLDER AGE AND OF THE
POST LIFE.
2. ALLNESS HEALING
Avraham received the blessing of 'KOL'/ALLNESS from
Hashem for spending every day of his life taking advantage of every
opportunity that he was presented with, of completing something in his Soul
that was lacking. So too by you. Come up with ways of taking advantage of
all opportunities for improvement and completion that come your way. One
way is to make lists of the intended challenges you expect to be
faced with and how you intend to cope. Similarly, make a list of your past
experiences each day or week, and what lessons you think Hashem wants you to
draw from each one. And as far as the present is concerned, be PRESENT
with life. See all that comes your way, now, as a Divinely-sent, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The more you live this way the more Allness blessings you will receive as well.
Q: IT SEEMS THAT THE MORE THAT A PERSON ACCEPTS ALL THAT
COMES THEIR WAY THE MORE SATISFIED THEY WILL BE, PERHAPS EVEN SO
SATISFIED THAT THEY WON'T WANT TO FIX OR IMPROVE ON ANYTHING, WHEN THEY
ACTUALLY SHOULD. WHAT'S THE CORRECT BALANCE?
A: PERHAPS THE BALANCE OR HARMONY IS BEST
ACCESSED WHEN WE ALSO SEE AS BEING PART OF THE 'PERFECT AS IS ' RECIPE THE
DIVINE MESSAGE TO 'NOT' ACCEPT THINGS AND INSTEAD TO FIX THEM, AND THIS DIVINE
URGING IS ALSO A PART OF THE STATE OF PERFECT AS IS.
3. FINDING YOUR B'SHERT/MATCH
HEALING
The Shidduch or matchmaking process of discovering Rivkah,
Yitzchak's intended B'shert, was successfully carried out by paying attention
to those areas of life that Hashem was, so to speak, screaming YES YES YES!!! Rivka
was at the right place at the right time, doing the right things, initiating
lovingkindness and hospitality, and all this was happening in an atmosphere of
supernatural events such as Avraham's servant, Eliezer, covering great
distances in miraculous speed as well as Eliezer's requested Divine signs
manifesting. So too by you. Pay attention to the messages that Hashem
is conveying to you with regard to the match or B'shert that you are
seeking in life, whether it be a new soul mate, a new home, a new job,
etc. The more certain you are that
Hashem is screaming YES, then go for it!
Q: WHAT IF THE
MESSAGE IS UNCLEAR, PART YES AND PART NO, AND A LOT OF I DON'T KNOW? WHAT TO
DO?
A: PERHAPS YOU COULD
CARRY OUT A Q AND A CONVERSATION WITH G-D, WORKING THROUGH ALL THE DOUBTS TILL
YOU GET CLARITY.
4. AFFIRMATION FROM THE OPPOSING FORCES HEALING
Lavan, the world's greatest deceiver, had to admit that his
sister Rivka was the right one for Yitzchak, ''because when we see that Hashem
wants it this way then we can't say anything about it for the good or for the
bad.'' This statement comes from the ultimate deceiver, who has nothing to
gain from saying this great affirmation of the truth of the shidduch. So too by
you. Seek out an affirmation from someone or something normally not positive
and sometimes very oppositional and hostile to you, who can confirm for you
with absolutely no prejudice or vested interest an affirmation which would
actually be detrimental to themselves. They may affirm that what you think to
be true is really true.
Q: AND WHAT DO WE DO
WHEN THE APPARENT TRUTH OF THE DECEIVER IS ALSO NOT CLEARLY TRUE?
A: TRY TO DEVELOP AN
INNER “TRUTH RESONATION VOICE.” YOU CAN DO THIS BY CHECKING UNKNOWN FUTURES IN
YOUR LIFE AGAINST YOUR PREDICTIONS, AND KEEP PRACTICING UNTIL YOU CAN CLEARLY
HEAR THE RESONATION.
5. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE LASTS FOREVER HEALING
Yitzchak, after marrying Rivkah, showered her with his love,
a love that was unconditional and not dependent on anything. It was not
dependent on the fact that she was beautiful or not, nor the fact that he would
give the love only as long as he stayed in love with her, nor any other
materialistic or physical condition. As a result, his love, and hers as well,
lasted and grew throughout their lifetime and beyond. So too by you. Shower
your beloved with the type of love that is unconditional, a love that comes from
truly spiritual and altruistic considerations, and G-d willing, you too will be
blessed to share with your beloved a love that doesn't fade way and only grows
stronger with the passage of time.
Q: HOW DOES ONE GET
TO THE LEVEL OF GIVING PURE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE?
A: PERHAPS ONE SHOULD
SEE THEIR BELOVED ONE AS A SELF-REFLECTING MIRROR MECHANISM FOR GROWTH IN
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE- GIVING AND MEASURE YOUR GROWTH OVER TIME IN THIS AREA.
6. NO PLACE LIKE HOME HEALING
Avraham, before passing away, gave over all that he had
spiritually to his son Yitzchak, yet gave gifts to his other sons, the sons of
Ketura, the progenitors of the civilizations of the far East, and as testified
to at a later point in history, by the students of R. Shimon Bar Yochai in the
Zohar, when they reported to their Rebbe that Jews and those cultures have
a lot in common. R. Shimon replied that this is partially true, but beware
because their brand of spirituality is filled with idol worship and magic.
This teaches us that although we share a lot in
common with other nations and religions there is no place like home. So too by
you. Be aware and check out for yourselves the truth of this principle,
that there is no plce like home. In case you have a desire to check out
exotic foreign waters, keep in mind that what your own spiritual tradition
possesses will prove itself right for you, if you only take the time and effort
to check it out.
Q: HOW DO WE COME TO
REALIZE THAT OUR OWN TRADITION IS THE BEST ONE FOR EACH OF US PERSONALLY?
A: PERHAPS IN AN
ONGOING MANNER, WHENEVER A CHOICE OF SPIRITUAL DIRECTIONS PRESENTS ITSELF TO ME,
I COULD BEGIN A COLLECTION OF IDEAS ABOUT WHY MY OWN TRADITION IS THE BEST FOR
ME. THE MORE THAT I SEE THIS, THE MORE I WILL TRUST IT.
7. THE FALL GIVES WAY TO THE ASCENT HEALING (see
the Baal haTurim on the Parsha's last verse)
The coming of Mashiach comes when the Exile or Kingdom of
Yishmael will fall. Similarly, the downfall of Esav automatically means
the ascent of Yisrael. So too by you. Know that this cosmic physics
principle applies as well in your own personal life, not only with regard
to us and other antagonists in your lives, but also between you and
yourself. That is, you can count on the fact that your own falls are going
to be followed up by your own ascents, your own rising to a level often
higher than the original one from which you just fell from. Know this
principle and draw strength and courage in the hard times for the impending
good times to follow.
Q: HOW DO I DEVELOP
AN INNER TRUST THAT THIS PRINCIPLE OF THE FALL IS FOLLOWED BY AN ASCENT IN MY
OWN LIFE?
A: SIMILAR TO A FEW OF OUR ANSWERS ABOVE, HERE TOO BEGIN TO
BE AWARE OF THE PREDOMINANCE OF THIS IN MY LIFE. PERHAPS A JOURNAL WILL HELP US
